The Power of Facebook - A Tribute to Kelvin

Sorry peeps, I know I have not been updating my blog, I was way too busy. However, no matter how busy and drained I am now, I have to do this entry.

I have never thought much of Facebook - just use it to entertain myself as well as keeping in touch with friends. I changed my perspective last night and I realised how Facebook can be so powerful.

I learnt the demise of my friend, Kelvin, through Facebook last night. His friend informed everyone about the details of the wake on Kelvin's behalf. At first I thought it was just another stupid "Pls tag 25 friends in your note" kinda notification. However, upon closer examination, it dawned on me that what was written there was true - Kelvin is gone...

I feel sad..really...but not sad enough to cry... the feeling is strange, rather overwhelming... I feel a sense of lost...I feel shocked...

Kel, though we had not known each other for long, I had enjoyed your company. I will never forget your laughter, your witty lines, your help in my assignments, the updates on iPhone you had given me.

Kel, I guess it will be difficult to find someone like you in future who share my interest in Madonna, the clubbing scene as well as the love for iPhone.

Kel, rest in peace. I sincerely hope you will find happiness in you next life

Caught "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" last Sun with Rachel at GV Tampines. It was a fantastic show!!!! Soooo thought-invoking... oh you will be awed by the REMARKABLE CGI and makeup!!

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Story :

"I was born under unusual circumstances." And so begins "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," adapted from the 1920s story by F. Scott Fitzgerald. This romantic drama tells the tale of Benjamin Button (Brad Pitt), born in 1918 in New Orleans as a baby with wrinkles, cataracts, and arthritis. Benjamin will age backwards, getting younger as he watches those around him growing older. Included in that group are his adoptive mother, Queenie (Taraji P. Henson), and Daisy (Cate Blanchett), the love of his life whom he meets when she is just a little girl and he is an old man. They age in reverse, but despite Benjamin's globe-trotting adventures, their lives repeatedly intersect.
