Xmas Celebration - Group 2

It had been such a long time since I woke up soooo early just to go out to have fun. No choice as it was gonna be a Xmas cum birthday celebration with my besties. Met up with the gals at Kallang Leisurepark and we went for K-lunch.

I had the honour of being the only guy among the chiobus :p

Who's that cool guy? *shy*

Posing for Vogue or Cleo?

Clara, me and Rachel with Wendy as the photographer haha.

After KTV, we proceeded to play bowling, an activity that all of us had not played for a long long time.

Guess who?

Wendy and Rachel feeling sad as they can't beat me to the game? haha.

Anyway I had the highest scaore that day. Hooray!! I scored 168!! Beat me beat me!! haha.

Then we went over to Clara's pad to carry on with the 2nd part of the celebration.

Clara did up the decor just for Rachel, sooo sweet :)

Clara's maid prepared lots of food for us. Oh we had steamboat. Yummy!!

These were the gifts for exchanging.

All of us holding on to our gifts gleefully. Hee :p

In addition to our gifts, our talented Rachel made each one of us a gift. Sooo sweet and nice of her. Wendy got a necklace, Clara got a pair of earrings and I had a scarf. WOW!! all these were made by Rachel!! :)

Highlight of the night : Birthday cake for Rachel from The Patissier Very very nice. Its really a Must-Try.

Wahahahah Rachel with her silly expression as usual :P

We had a fun time together. Thanks to Clara and her hubby, Mun for being such great hosts. :)

Merry Xmas? Think again...

It is definately not an enviable thing being prolly the eldest (ok fine!! oldest!!) among my clique of friends, classmates and colleagues, perhaps to the extend of being a relic to be placed on an ancestral altar to be worshipped by descendents.

It doesn't help also that Christmas is just around the corner, and you're still single. A walk down Orchard Road, City Hall, Suntec or whatever (where the hell do youngsters go nowadays?!) at this festive period is enough to get one frustrated and annoyed. With the big fat old man with white beard and red outfit waving at you like they're beckoning you through the gates of hell, it's really just the kind of festive mood which we can jolly well do without. And if your attention isn't caught by the creature (okok...I mean Santa), you conveniently run into your fair share of couples parading their coupledom, oblivious of the feelings of others.

Everywhere you go these Happily Attacheds (HA) appear, as if their purpose in life is to remind you that this is the time for family and love and just too bad you are alone.

I was at Kinokuniya the other day, shopping for a book when I saw a couple, prolly in their twenties, discussing loudly on whether they should buy a "Home Decor" book.

HA1 : Dear, should WE buy this book? We can get some inspirations on how to renovate OUR new home.

HA2: You choose lah, I trust your taste *lovey dovey gazing at each other*

I swear I almost went up to give both of them a slap! Yucks!! C'mon, its just a book. Just for God's sake get it and leave!!

A quick check with my friends on how they will be spending their Xmas left me feeling more lonely than ever. Standard answers ranges from "oh accompany BF lor", "see where my hubby goes", "duno leh, my BF/GF plans everything" and the list goes on.

Don't you just hate Xmas!! Especially when you are reaching your 30s and still single...

Is that fate?

Few days ago, S was telling his colleague that fate is an amazing thing. If 2 persons are not fated, even if they stay in the same neighbourhood, they will still not meet each other. S told his colleague that S and ** had broke off almost a year and even though they stayed in close proximity, they had not meet each other at all.

Strangely enough, after that conversation, when S went Loyang Point with his bro to do some marketing after his work, S experienced the work of fate. S's bro asked S if the Mini Cooper that was parked behind them belonged to **. S turned back and affirmed to his bro's findings. The familiar carplate number, the familiar "white with black top"...Oh well.... anyway, S didn't get to see ** at all that day even though both of them were in Loyang Point, so S guessed it was still considered as "not fated"... *smile*

Some day....

Stanley always wonder..."Will he lead a mundane life? or is he destined for greater things?"

So far, life had been eventful or rather, dramatic for Stanley (close friends will know :p ). Although simplicity is bliss but Stanley has always secretly wished that he will have an extra-ordinary future. A future that he will be proud to share with people who are important to him.

Some day.... Stanley will be famous... so famous that Paris Hilton will want a part of him.

Posters of Stanley will be on the streets of NYC.

Stanley will appear in billboards. Friends and loved ones will be proud of him.

Stanley will customise his very own Mini Cooper and ferry his loved ones in his fave car.

Stanley will have such a rich legacy that will be passed on to future generations.

Some day.................

Life can be so simple

It was a typical weekend afternoon in Millenia Walk. The mall was not exactly crowded but sure there were shoppers making purchases for the coming Xmas.

A family of "Ang Mo" caught my attention. The Mum and Dad were looking at the watches, with a pram beside them. A little girl was playing happily by herself, attempting to do somersaults. It was like a protrait of a family bliss. "Mummy mummy!! I did it!! I can do a turn!!", the little girl ran to her mummy, exclaiming excitedly. The Mum and Dad smiled at her and her daddy patted her on her head.

The whole scene brought a smile on my face. Life can really be so simple. A simple achievement can easily make a little girl so happy and when the little girl is happy, her parents are happy as well. Simplicity is bliss, I guess.

SMILE :)

The Line

Went The Line at Shangri-La Hotel last Fri for a company divisonal dinner. Food was excellent and there was a wide variety to choose from. However, the attitude of the service staff could have been better. Anyway the overall experience is still acceptable. Check out their webby : The Line

One of my fave corner :p
